Earthman Home circa 1882

The W. L. Earthman home is located across the road from the Whites Creek Post Office and was built about 1882. Earthman was magistrate and ex-constable when he arrested Bill Ryan, alias Tom Hill, ruthless and indiscreet member of the James gang, next door at the saloon. With his reward money Earthman built a three-room addition to his “shot-gun” style home.
